"Poppy Dreams No. 5" closes the series with pink energy — hot pink and magenta poppies fill the vertical composition against bright green, with seed pods throughout and the characteristic graphic outlines of the series giving each bloom a bold, defined presence. The palette is the warmest of the five, the pinks more saturated and vivid than in earlier pieces. It has the same electric quality as No. 1 and No. 3, making these three the natural trio within the series.
