"Jump For JOY" is an original acrylic painting from my WORDS series, capturing a moment of pure energy and childhood possibilities. Two figures in bright yellow dresses leap across a textured background of blues and yellows, their bodies full of motion and light. The composition radiates movement, happiness, and freedom, inviting viewers to reconnect with the joy of being unafraid to dream.
Have you ever felt held back from imagining the future you truly want? As children, we’re often asked who we want to be—but always in terms of what we want to do. But what if what we long to do feels out of reach? This painting speaks to that tension: between the open-hearted joy of possibility, and the limitations placed on us far too early. Hidden within the folds of the girls’ dresses are words, woven into the layered textures and colors—just like the quiet beliefs we carry about who we are and who we’re allowed to become.

About Original Artwork
Paint Media
Denise paints with archival quality acrylic paints including Golden Acrylic Paints and mediums as well as Nova Paints. There can be mixed media here and there such as charcoal, colored pencil and waxed crayon.
Substrate
Denise paints on cradled hardboard and gessoed canvas. Pieces that are 24x36 inches or smaller, are painted on cradled hardboard 1 inch to 1 1/2 inches deep with paint finished edges matching the overall color scheme of the painting.
Larger pieces on canvas are painted while tacked to a large hardboard frame. This way I can still sand away as much as I want with a hard surface backing the painting.
The painting is then removed and reframed on stretcher bars for a more lightweight finished artwork which is easier to ship and easier to hang.
Finish
All artwork have been finished with a clear gloss or semi gloss water-based acrylic polymer varnish with Ultra Violet Light Stabilizers [UVLS] that protects interior acrylic paintings from dust and ultraviolet light.
In the event that you hang your painting in the dining room and it get splattered with spaghetti sauce (believe me this can happen), the painting can be wiped clean to bring it back to it's intended design.
Shipping
Original artwork is usually shipped within 3-7 days from an order being received either by UPS or Fed Ex.
All original artwork are shipped from my studio in the Pacific Northwest. Each piece is packaged with care for a safe journey to your home.
For original artwork valued over $300 US dollars a signature is required upon delivery.
