"Bronze Poppies II" is the densest of the series — bronze blooms crowd the paper in loose horizontal bands, leaving only pockets of blush pink showing through. The bronze paint pools and disperses as it dries, and where the pigments separate, hints of olive green surface inside the petals. Charcoal outlines and slender stems give the shapes just enough structure to read as poppies, and a small round seed pod sits quietly at the left edge. Scratched marks beneath the paint add a layer of texture that rewards a closer look.
